Education and Experience
I have been playing drums in excess of 14 years and have been teaching for 5 years.
During this time I have studied with the following professional drummers and institutions:
- Drumtech (London)
- Brian Greene (Director of Gigajam Interactive Music School)
- The Academy of Music (Guildford)
- Steve White (Paul Weller, Oasis, The Who)
- Pete Riley (Top UK drummer and clinician)
- Simon Price (Michael Messer)
I have extensive experience of playing live and recording. I have gigged at many music venues including: The Cavern Club (Liverpool), Oxford Carling Academy, The Borderline (Soho) The Garage (Islington) and Camden Barfly to name but a few.
I have played on the same bill and supported acts such as Fun Lovin' Criminals, Cage The Elephant, The Raveonettes, Oi Va Voi , Brendan Benson (The Raconteurs), Mark Morriss (Bluetones), The Storys, I Am Kloot and Nizlopi. Tracks that I have performed on have been played on both local and national radio, as well as receiving airplay in Europe.
Please note, that I am a full member of the Musicians Union, In addition, I am CRB checked. I am also an approved drum tutor for Drumwright and currently teach drums / percussion at both the John Madeski Academy and Licensed Victuallers' School, in Ascot.
Current musical projects include Amys Ghost (First Circle Records). Other recent work has included Wire Jesus (Josaka Music) and the Farnham based band Sequoia (High Desert Records, Eko Music). Work with Sequoia included recording their debut album 'Ebb & Flow' and single 'Close To The Sun' and touring to support these releases.
